My Approach & Philosophy
Mariemma is a qualified Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
She has experience working with people of all ages, all life stages including culturally diverse background. She works in a caring, non-judgemental, and compassionate manner. She provides culturally responsive therapy and consider how client’s behaviours and decisions may be guided by their cultural values and beliefs. She uses a holistic approach by bringing range of client centred therapeutic approaches which are relational, and emotion focused.
Mariemma enjoys working with people from all life spans. She helps people to overcome challenges in their life including struggles to managing emotions and adjust to cultural shifts. She believes ‘one size does not fit for all’ and that everyone is unique and thereby individualised treatment plan for each one. She helps people to reach into their potential by achieving goals and creating a life meaningful and fulfilling.
Mariemma offers therapy and treatment to people who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression and low mood, trauma, interpersonal problems and difficulties with relationships, challenges related to personality disorders, low self-esteem or self-worth, emotion dysregulation, school and workrelated stress and problems, parenting difficulties and family-related conflict.
Mariemma has training in cognitive behavioural therapies including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT),Optimal Health Program, and Emotion Focused Therapy for Trauma (EFTT).

Mary Jacob
I am Mary Jacob, works as an AASW accredited MH social worker (430179). I offer individualised mental health support in a confidential, comfortable and a non-judgemental space for you to express yourself and work through your issues.
I have been working as a counsellor for many years and have been working across individuals of various ages and backgrounds including adults and young people. I offer person-centred and strength-based face to face and online counselling supporting your recovery journey. I believe that every individual is unique and has great potential to become who they are ought to be. I use holistic approach to work through my client’s challenges to reach their goals.
I use CBT framework and my work extends across addictions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, personal growth and wellbeing, emotional wellbeing, and parenting. I provide evidence-based support including motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, DBT and CBT skills and techniques, mindfulness, and trauma informed approach. I provide short- and long-term therapeutic services which fits your individuality and needs. I also provide an eclectic approach based on the needs and situation. I provide face to face, online and telephone sessions. NDIS clients are most welcome.
Currently I offer sessions on Saturdays and early mornings, so the service is accessible to students and full-time workers without affecting their studies and work.
Supervision
I also extend my work in providing clinical supervision for social workers and counsellors. I am an AASW accredited clinical supervisor. I can provide online and face to face clinical supervision. It is an essential component of your work as a social worker, as it provides you with the opportunity to reflect on your practice, receive feedback and guidance, and continue to develop your skills and knowledge. It is a valuable tool for professional growth and ensuring that you are providing the best possible care for your clients.
