Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy (talking therapy) which has proven to be effective for various problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, eating disorder, substance use disorder and other mental health issues.

In CBT, you work together with your therapist to identify the patterns of thinking (cognition) and behaviour that cause you problems. At times, negative and unhelpful thinking can be a problem. CBT challenge and break the habit of negative thinking. CBT teaches you the practical ways to challenge, learn and cope with problems and issues in your life.
